What working with NRG looks like:

  • You talk to a builder, not a salesperson. Scope and feasibility from the first call.
  • Your budget is built from real quantity takeoffs, not padded allowances.
  • Our own crews frame it, wire it, and roof it. Subs only where it makes sense.

No spam, no pressure. A builder reads this, not a call center.

What We Build

From Ground-Up Homes to the Trades Inside Them.

Hire us as your general contractor, or bring us in for the individual trades we self-perform. Either way, the crews on your project work for NRG.

Commercial & Tenant Improvements

+

Build-outs and TIs run to a hard opening date, with the framing and electrical that hold the critical path self-performed by our own crews.

Why Self-Performed Matters

Most GCs Manage Subs. We Swing the Hammers.

Framing & Carpentry

CSLB B #1059515 +

The structure is the build. Our own framing crews keep the schedule's critical path and the quality of every wall, beam, and connection under our control.

Electrical

CSLB C-10 #1052468 +

Our electrical division wires what our crews frame. Rough-in coordinates with the structure instead of fighting it, and inspections get scheduled once, not rescheduled twice.

Roofing

CSLB C-39 #1156853 +

NRG Roofing gets your project weathertight on our schedule, not a sub's. Same company, same accountability, written workmanship guarantee.

When three of the most schedule-critical trades never leave the building, fewer things fall through the cracks. And when something does need attention, there's one phone number to call, not three subcontractors pointing at each other.

How It Works

A Straight Path From Idea to Occupancy.

01

Scope & Feasibility

We walk the site or review your plans and talk through what you're building, what it takes, and what stands in the way (permits, structure, utilities) before anyone spends real money.

02

Takeoff-Grade Budget

Your proposal is built from measured quantity takeoffs of the actual plans: real counts, real unit costs, inclusions and exclusions in writing. Not a square-foot guess with fat contingency.

03

Build & Deliver

Our crews self-perform the structural trades, we manage the rest, and you get clean documentation the whole way, through final inspection and handover.

FAQ

What Owners Ask Before Hiring a GC.

What does "self-performed" actually mean for my project?+

Most general contractors hire subcontractors for every trade and manage the traffic. NRG keeps framing, electrical, and roofing in-house: our own crews, under our own CSLB licenses (B, C-10, and C-39). You feel it in the schedule (no waiting on a framer's other job), in quality control (our name is on the license), and in accountability (one company to call).

Are you licensed and insured?+

Yes. NRG Construction holds CSLB General Building license B #1059515, with sister licenses C-10 #1052468 (electrical) and C-39 #1156853 (roofing). We're bonded and insured, and you can verify every license at cslb.ca.gov before you hire us. We encourage it.

How do you price a project?+

From the plans, with measured quantity takeoffs: wall by wall, circuit by circuit. Your proposal spells out what's included, what's excluded, and where the allowances are, so you're comparing real numbers instead of guessing what a low bid left out.

Do you take on trade-only work, or just full GC projects?+

Both. Owners and other general contractors bring us in for framing packages and electrical scopes all the time. See the framing and electrical pages. Roofing runs through our dedicated division at nrg-roofing.com.

What areas do you serve?+

We're based in Ventura and work across Ventura County (Ventura, Oxnard, Camarillo, Ojai, Santa Paula, Thousand Oaks, Simi Valley), plus Santa Barbara County and greater Los Angeles for the right projects.
